Aiwa MP3 in dash unit
I just bought this unit from MP3.com.
Finding out that it stops playing if I
have a hard left turn.
Remote works if not attached to steering wheel and wont when I attach it. wondering if
theres some problem with any pressure being put on the remote and having it work.
Anyone else have these probs?

Well, as far as AIWA remotes go, they are generally crap. I have one for my CDC-X507M and it rarely works properly, esp on the steering wheel. I do have a problem with the shock protection, if I close a door hard or hit the side of the dash that the unit is on, it will skip. What exactley happens when it "stops playing?"
These two problems aside, i love my AIWA head unit, so dont fill this thread up with post about how bad AIWA is.

For the hard turn stop.. Its a long lag
until it starts to play again.
I also have a stoppage issue that happens
regardless of bumps or hard turns.
This second issue is as follows:
I created a cd with 5 directories and about
10 per. By stop I mean when on a song it will stop.. no sound .. only way it will start to play is if I forward to the next song or another directory.
I can take this same cd and play it in any of my 6 computer systems with various cd players from generic to NEC , Creative labs with no probs.

Take it back....thats all I can tell you. If its only doing this during a hard left turn take and exchange it for a new unit. I have an Aiwa CD deck and don't have any problems at all with it...your problem sounds like a posible loose connection inside the unit.

I concur. That doesnt soudn like normal operation for the unit.
