ok i checked the forums and i appreciate your help! my more detiled question is as follows:

i do not have a "sound" card per se like a creative blaster on this machine...it is a mini pc comparable to a mac mini....there is a line out for speakers...and wanted to know if this is suffice for the splitter which will go to the amp....because on the diagrams i sawit looks like the sound card has seperate splitters for both the front and rear speakers..

if there is just one line out...and i use the splitter...will it compromise the sound quality for either the front or rear speakers?

anyone with a pandora able to help?!

I use the onboard sound of my Shuttle unit and it sounds great. It may be slightly better sound quality with the nForce2 chipset than the AOpen Pandora, if better at all.
Unless you're a serious audiophile or sound reproduction junkie, you're probably not going to notice the difference.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

No matter what, you will need an amplifier to get a good volume. The pandora I believe has the three connectors that can be used as 2 out and 1 in or a driver can switch to 3 out using the mic port. Then just take that into a 1/8" to RCA, pluig into amp, wire to speakers. Keep in mind that every 1/8" jack, carries 2 channels of sound, and that is why the 1/8" to RCA, gives you a red and white phono sound. Do that twice and you have 4 speakers like in a car, and if you have a sub, then use the fifth channel. I think the microphone when changed to output only gives mono but I'm not sure.

    EDIT: beat me to it!
