more quick newbie questions
After searching the board and reading for about an hour, I couldn't draw any conclusions about this.
1. I am using an old DELL p200mmx and its motherboard has its own VGA out integrated right onto to board. Does this mean I still need a All-In-Wonder, or should I get something like the TV wonder? Not one ebay description of the tv-wonder says that it comes with composite out...I don't know why people were considering it.
2. Does the IRMAN act just like a mouse as in you push the right button and the pointer moves, or does it more or less replace keyboard functions? I ask this because when I am using the album list plugin for winamp, there is no way to switch between the album list window and the song list window with the keyboard, I need to use the mouse to make the window active, and then I can use the keyboard hotkeys. Is the IRMAN a solution to this? or should I get that finger trackball?
Thanks for your patience with me, I owe my whole setup to you guys.

the IRMAN converts received IR signals into 6byte codes which are then sent down the connected PC's serial port. Software on your computer can then read these received 6byte codes an react in anyway it sees fit.
In my case, I wrote my own software to read the codes, and on receival performs the various functions in my custom mp3car player application. Other programs like Girder, etc... may read the signals then simulate the pressing of keyboard keys/mouse movements in windows to fool programs into thinking that the user themselves made the input - to give remote control capabilities to existing software packages... its a fantastic little hardware device.... and alot of good software supports it, and writing your own is a sinch too...
clear things up?
