My carputer motherboard died on me as I was about to test in car. Buying TUSI-M

Anyone try this motherboard yet? I didn't need video out so I'm going for it. $56.00 LAN/SOUND/VIDEO.

Also I heard the FV24 doesn't work well with the digital view controller.

I would not buy the TUSI board. It's based on the SiS 630 chipset - I had a motherboard based on this chipset (ECS P6SSM) and I had all kinds of problems: poor IDE performance, problems getting the USB drivers working properly, etc. I'm not sure if the problem was the motherboard or the chipset, but overall I was not impressed. Also, I found that the video quality of the onboard VGA was awfull, luckily my board also had an AGP slot so I was able to use another card. The Asus board you linked to did not have an AGP card, so if you decide to upgrade the video you'll need a PCI card.
If you're going to be using a PCI LCD controller, why buy a board with onboard video? Why not go with something like this board for $29? I have one of these which I'm running a Celeron 800 on and the performance has been great. Even the onboard sound is fairly good.

Well hopefully Asus ironed out all those problems.

I don't need AGP for anything. I am going to use it for DVD and the chipset says it's good for DVD playback.

The HD's I will be using with it are going to be ATA66 which it supports up too. Laptop HD's are still ATA66 so my 10 gig in my laptop will eventually be used.

I like Asus so hopefully this board will be good.
