Hence why I would buy a used Pentium M on ebay for $60 and a $100 open box micro-ATX motheboard from newegg, I'm cheap .
I hear ya. I would like to point out that money could also be saved by getting a T2400 Core Duo (about $240) and a micro-atx motherboard (about $150), which would bring the cost down to less than $400. Smaller is always better for me, so I will still probably stick with mini-itx.

I have just read a rumor that Aopen, MSI, and DFI are all slated to release a mini-ITX Core Solo/Duo platform in the "near future". Haha, don't know what that means, but sounds good to me! Hopefully, by the time I'm ready to purchase, the price will be driven down a little by competition.
