its approaching summer tempssss and well it seems like my carputer is doing some strange things. when it is really hot (car parked for awhile in the sun) and i turn the carputer on, it keeps muting the audio on and off. and if it mutes. you can push the unmute and it will unmute so you can hear.. but then it mutes it right back. or it can do this on its own If i blast the AC or drive around with the windows open on a breezy cool day, it will stop this rediculous behavior, so i do know its temperature related, but i do not know what is causing it.

For the record, my media hard drive is in an external box attached using firewire. the drive was known to give me heat issues while in my trunk and would "disappear" from windows if it got too hot. I moved the drive to under the seat and it stopped doing that. only on extremely hot days when parked is when it doesnt boot up with windows.

One thing i thought it might be was my USB hub (7 port powered mind you) that replaced a 4 port last year since it stopped working, might be overheating causing a disruption on the usb signal for a brief second causing my USB audigy 2 nx to mute when it reconnected. Everything is powered off my m1atx including the screen, minus the external hd which runsoff an inverter as well as my cdrom drive.
