I know this is probably one of those things that you guys hate being asked but...

can you guys tell me if this system will work in my car (im a mechanical engineer but am terrible with anything electrical) just gunna lay out the whole system for you guys and im basically concerned with whether a stock battery and alternator will be able to handle the load:

4 gauge power wire going to distribution block, three 8 gauge power wires going to 1 mono amp to power my sub, 1 4-channle amp to power my speakers, and the 3rd going to either an opus 150w or a M2-ATX 160W power supply, powering a lilliput monitor, and heres the big part, im hoping to use my old standard tower ATX pentium 3 600 mhz dell computer (with standard size dvd drive and 3.5" HDD). i know this will suck alot of power but i dont have the money to build a mini-ITX computer right now. so basically my question is will this system be able to run in my car (Audi A4 if that matters). sorry for the standard n00b question but i would realy appreciate an honest answer. thanks.

I think it will work just fine.
The only think I'd change is the optical drive. Slim drives draw less power and are easy to make look integrated.

I wholly recommend reading the FAQ Emporium as much as you can. Read anything/everything that might even remotely relate to your project. You can never learn too much.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.
