    help - video card problems

I just received my video card in the mail today, its a PCI Video Card with Composite Out.

I am using an old DELL computer P200MMX that has its VGA out integrated right into the mobo. I popped my video card into the motherboard's pci slot and
started her up, and I got nothing. Everything powers up fine, and it just hangs. Nothing comes up on my monitor, either when I plug my monitor into the PCI card or when I plug it into the original motherboard slot, i get nothing. I thought it was the slot, so I tryed another one, same thing. i pulled the card out fearing I fried my motherboard, but it went straight back to working when the card is out.

Is the PCI video card fried, maybe during shipping? Are there some BIOS changes I have to make before I slip the card in?

I just paid $25 for this card, I really hope it is something small.

Check your BIOS and make sure it's set to use the PCI slot for your video card.

I checked the bios, and there is no mentioning of PCI or Video Card or anything having to do with video...all it mentions are Parralell Ports, Serial Ports, Ps/2 Ports...Drive controllers, nothing about PCI! I don't get it..

You have to disable the onboard video, either in your BIOS or with a jumper on the MB.

ok, well since I couldn't find anything in the BIOS about changing the VGA to PCI Slot, I went on my home computer and decided to test it out there. I changed the VGA from AGP to PCI and installed the card in a open slot of my home computer. It ended up doing the same exact thing, booting up and then hanging, with no signal from the pci card or the agp card. I took the pci card back out, and my agp card had signal again. I tryed taking out the agp card and just had the pci card in, and no signal, with bios set to pci.

Is there still hope or is this pci card fried?
