im only talking to Red GTi who seems to be the only person in this thread thats posting with rude comments and adding absolutely no value or information other than smart comments that he can keep to hisself.
Everyone else in this thread, including you posted your opinions in a decent mannor. Is that too much to ask for Red GTi, i think i maybe. Looking at his other posts in other threads, he dosnt seem to be helping anyone with anything just random insults here and there.

so dont tell me to lighten up, im not being an ***, im responding to someone else being an ***.

    he who?

    who is he?

    I don't see any he?

and I'm sorry if my telling you exactly what everyone else is telling you (to do it the right way) doesn't seem to get through your head as being constructive.

seems to me that you have some rather honed selective reading skills to boot.

actually a cheap radioshack soldering iron is like what 15 bucks at most, plus a roll of solder that will last forever is waht another 5-6 bucks? 10 bucks for a variety pack of heat shrink tubing. its not that expensive. plus you will have tools to last you a lifetime pretty much.

also, perhaps use a relay to trigger teh switch. instead of the switch carrying the voltage directly. relays can usually handle more and it lessens the dangers of running live high current wires everywhere to your switch. and dont forget to fuse.

how exactly are any of your comments constructive.

You dont know me, so you have no right or reason to just hop in a thread because you see an opportunity to be rude.
And who cares if your a girl or a guy, you want a cookie or something.
my problem is you and people like you who tend to just clutter up forums with nothing but rude comments.
when someone post a question, if you dont have any additional info to add to the conversation other than being a smart ***, whats the point? If you need entertainment go play a game or something.

thats a good idea also, ultimately i think the switch is the problem. What i suspected all along since the problem started shortly after i added the switch. Thats easy enough to test out by removing the switch. Im gonna replace the switch also in a few hours.

look dood - it's a standard - twisting wires together and taping them together is SHODDY install. It's not right for a reason. Anyone who would do something like this and who would stand there and scream that it's right obviously has no clue what they are talking about.

    I don't give a **** if you know I'm a guy or a girl or a ******* bot, it was a point. You're a selective reader.

your comments about my posts proved that as well.

being a ***** or not, I'm telling you to wire it correctly, why? because it prevents problems like this from occuring in the future.

I guess i could really give a **** care less and let you burn your car to the ground.

    Have fun at it!

be sure to post pictures when it happens!

    have a nice day.

liquid_smoke, I think you missed Red's sarcasm in her first post in this thread. Maybe not. I don't know.

I think it's a given at this point that the sarcasm added fuel to the fire, as you're already frustrated in dealing with your problem, which was never stated in the original post. Of course, I don't think you'd ask the question if you didn't think there was an issue somewhere, either. You're no n00b.

You're on the right track. You're going to re-do your conenctions with crimp-connects, and that will certainly make for better connections.
Hopefully that will resolve the shutdown issues. Some crimp-connects and a crimping tool is a lot cheaper than a new battery.

    Curious question....
What gauge wire are you using to power all this? You may have posted somewhere, but I'm a lazy-assed mod today and don't want to weed through your posts to find it if it is there.
I ask, because that could possibly be playing a part in your setup.

So now, liquid_smoke and Red GTi VR6 need to hug and make up and let's get on with our geekiness.
    Feel tha love!

maybe i did miss the sarcasm, but its just annoying to me over and over to see people jump in threads with silly comments and dont actually add any new information. Red GTi had no intentions of trying to help anyone, and thats even more obvious looking at (his, her, who give a ****) posts in other threads.
When i see threads that people post asking questions on how to make Road Runner autostart with the computer, i dont immediately say, hey look at this newb im gonna flame him for asking a dumb question, or post a smart comment to show everyone else im smarter. Instead of just telling the guy how to do it or pointing to a link etc. If someone else has allready replied to such a thread with good info and all your gonna add is your one little smart comment. Save it. Thats all. Everyone else in this thread has been very helpfull, and thanks to those who were helpfull. RedGTi can kiss my *** though.
