USB 2.5 Drive Enclosure

I am looking for a USB 2.5 bus-powered External Drive enclosure that will show up when the computer boots. The drive enclosure I have right now only shows up as an "not initialized" disk and has to be disconnected and reconnected to show a drive letter

Unless anyone knows another solution I though I'd try a different drive enclosure. I've been scowling the Internet for days trying to find a solution.

I have a cheapie I bought off of fleebay that works great. It dosent have a brand name but it was the cheapest one (that you can get with shipping included).

I power up and it comes up like an internal drive. (in 2000/XP) I do have a 3.5 external usb drive that prevents the computer from booting (I am guessing this is a bios issue). Once the bootup cycle is complete though I can plug it in and it goes great.

Its self powered so it gets power from the USB. It works fine once its unplugged and replugged in.

Mine is a cheap ebay one as well. eStar or something like that. I though it was a bios issue too but I updated to the most recent bios and tried the drive on another computer with the same result. I have a 1gb USB flash drive that comes up after boot with no issue. I need to avoid having to unplug and replug in the drive after boot. So finally after coming up with nothing else I though maybe changing the enclosure would work.

Any other ideas before I waste my cash on another enclosure?
