I've just installed my dvd player and I'm having some issues. I know it's not a car pc, but it has more to deal with cables and I figured you guys and girls knew you stuff and have probably dealt with all types of cables. Basically the dvd player has 2 outputs in the back. On is a Auxiliary Audio and video output on mini-plug. The other is a Dolby coaxial digital output. Both outputs are miniplug outputs and basically you plug your miniplug end in and it comes out rca on the other end. The cables have one miniplug and 2 rca outputs, one for left sound, one for right sound, and another for video. I'm having problems with my right sound. Everything else works fine. I have a great picture and my left sound works fine. I've traded cables so I know the only two things that could have problems are the output cable that comes out of the dvd player (the aux miniplug cable) or the dvd player. The cable that came with the dvd player only works in the aux plug. It doesn't send pic or video when plugged into the coaxial digital plug. I'm looking to replace the plug, but I'm having problems. I have one cable like that that came with my sony dvd camera but it doesn't work in either of the plugs on the dvd player. I've been searching the internet for a plug and I've found a few that are listed to work with cameras and video cameras, but nothing listed for a dvd player or such. Also I have been unable to find anything like a coaxial digital output cable with miniplug ends. Here is one I found on amazon.
I only need a cable that's a foot or so. Basically I'm looking for a cable that I can replace the one that came from the factory. I would like to find a coaxial digital output cable if possiable. any help would greatly be appreciated.
