    USB audio

Ok, I bought the USB audio adapter from telex and it sounds like ****... I didnt realize it was designed for headphones, so I guess it is my fault for being an idiot... Anyway, has anyone used this one?

Any suggestions for a good usb sound card?

I have one of the xitel, and i can hear the hd noise though it. Anyone else have this problem? I dont have an inverter, im running a sproggy2.5 or 2.6. What would be putting the hd freq. into the powerline, as i assume that is how its getting into my xitel. Any ideas?

Probably a feedback loop of some sort... I am having all kinds of trouble with my telex! When I use it in my house, I get lots of noise unless I use a pro line driver (phoenix gold) car audio signal booster as a pre amplifier... But, when I get in the car, I only get static and the USB wont even put out anything?? Kind of weird, I wish I had a display to see whats going on out in the car...

I think I am gonna try the USB Daq I initially asked about as I dont think anyone here has had any problems with it!

My Telex has this annoying popping sound. It's not loud, but it is there. It sounds like a discharge at the miniplug? kinda like when you take a miniplug going into a speaker and tap it with your finger, only a little quiter. Anyone have this problem... other than that I find the quality is really good. I may try to hack some RCA plugs into it to solve the popping.

    Re: USB audio

I believe I read somewhere on the forum that the usb sound device you linked to is not good. Don't quote me on this as it may be one similiar to it, but I remember taking a look at that one when I was shopping for a usb device. Before I bought the telex, I looked around on the forum and saw no complaints... the xitel was another alternative I was looking at.

I used the Xitel DG2 for awhile USB->toslink digital in my truck and I experienced no noise at all. It worked great.

If you have a Sony head unit check out the Sony XA-300. I know I've posted this sucker in a lot of threads but I feel it's a pretty good deal if you have a Sony head unit. $100 and it brings computer sound into the headunit and gives you 2 other aux inputs.

Quick question what is the model of the Telex device in question? is it the P-500?
