    Smile lcd help

    I have decided to go with a 10.4 TFT vga lcd display for my carputer, right now I'm using 7" pioneer AVX-P7000CD display with
    ATI All-Inwonder with composite video out but the Aquality of picture is not that great specially for GPS, I'm looking at a couple of LCDs on Ebay, one with Brightness of 200 Cd/m2, will this one be bright enough? and can anybody tell me what parts will I neeed to get this lcd going in my car?
    I would really like some help on this one..Thanx ya'll...

    Just make sure it is ACTIVE MATRIX TFT screen, it makes a big diff....i tested my box with C2/3 and GPS on an active matrix screen once, it made a BIG difference.

    Geez, I REALLY wish I had ROOM for such a big display. Cost be damned, there's no way I could get that in my car anywhere. Oh well.

    LOL

    I wouldn't mind carving away some plastic if that's all it took. Unfortunately, short of relocating my HVAC as well as vents and some switches, there just wouldn't be room.

    Oh well, screw all these LCD's anyway... I want a friggin HUD on my WINDSHIELD. :P

    THAT ...My friend is from a DEC HiNOte Ultra II Notebook. Awesome little screen BUT GOOD luck finding the pinouts for that baby....

    if put a 10" in my patheticly sized car, i just did it by putting some velcro in front of steering wheel and it props up nicely there and i put it under seat when i park up..

    not very pretty but it aint too ugly so..
