This came up the other week and had a big "i want" thread on the board.

Edit: And actually taking a look at their site, instead of the news bites that were about it, none of the pictures of the device actually show it turned on (ie screen on). Instead, they only show how large it is.

I stumbled across this page yesterday:

    http://temp.winglitch.com:81/articles/oqo.htm

According to that very non-technical review, it runs a Crusoe and it does have audio. No further specs though.

It's a cool device, but I wouldnt say its perfect for mobile MP3. I would buy one when they come out, but to replace my Ipaq.

Actually, since its powered by a transmeta crusoe processor, it cant. The cyrix III from the eden platform and the geode are the two most similar processors in the fact that they're all billed as low power devices, and they all use a bga (ball grid array, as opposed to a pin grid array). I dont know if it was custom designed for this application, but I wouldn't be surprised, as most of the transmeta implementations so far have been server blade systems and laptops (but then again, im not exactly following their every move).

And in the specifications of the oqo, it lists:
media player mode with enough memory for 1000 songs or three feature length movies
so i dont know if it means that theres a standard headphone jack on one of the three sides that they dont show pictures for, or if you will need a dongle, but im sure it will have audio playback.
