Exclamation Too Strange for me now...

Hello everybody.. long time since I've been around here

anyway, this is getting toooo strange for me to handle it anymore.. I dont know what to do!!

    Get this:

2 totally different setups, 2 different cars, 2 different monitors, 2 different power ways for the PCs and one result... a running PC with nothing showing on the monitor...not even POST or Boot screen.. the monitors wont even detect any VGA input

This happened to me first on my AMD based mobo... I thought it was the mobo so I got a brand new EPIA 13000 from the MP3 store and guess what.. as soon as I plugged it in straight from the box, it does the same thing...

now, on the other hand, my friend bought the Mini-PC and it was working fine when we set it up, then after 2-3 days of riding around, he calls me and tells me nothing would show up on the screen anymore.. the PC stills runs but nothing on the monitor...

I took both PC systems in my house and tried them with the same result.. nothing.. I'm really out of ideas here.. for me it's been a good 5 months now since it's been working and for him about a month.. so it's getting pretty ridiculous... I've already spent well over 2000 bucks on parts, and don't plan on getting anything else...

    sooo any suggestions?

    Thanks

Are there any other outputs like Svideo, DVI, or RCA?

    Try clearing the BIOS.

I had the same problem a while ago, but it was my screen blowing up its capability to display 800x600 resolution. I had to hook it up to another monitor to switch over 1024x768.

Not sure where you're at in your troubleshooting steps, but start off by removing everything from the mainboard that's not necessary (i.e. Leave the CPU and RAM - everything else should go) and unplugging everything but a keyboard.

You mentioned trying a brand new board
    - did you use the same CPU and memory from the problem system? It could easily be a problem with the memory.

    Lightbulb Video settings, CMOS RAM

It is possible that you have set your video to something that just won't show on your hardware. Before you give up on it try resetting the CMOS RAM to factory default. Here is an earlier thread about similar problems.

im going to go ahead and say my standard tech support answer when someone calls me with the whole "i got to my computer and nothing is showing up on my screen" questions. is the computer turned on? seriously i cant think of anything that would be causing that with 2 different setups.

    to answer some of you..

Siezmik, I have tried everything unplugged but the CPU/memory and still same result.. the new system is not even like the old one.. one is MicroATX and the new one is a MicroATX..

AllThingsEnd, Yes, like I said above, the PCs start up, all fans are running.. lights blinking... I mean it's a working PC w/ NO VGA output..

I will try what JimmyFitz said and see what happens..

    Thanks

if it doesnt post then it could be a wide variety of problems ranging from bad ram, motherboard, memory, power supply, or even a bad optical drive or cable, weird yes, but i've seen it happen. Just because it powers up the fans doesnt mean that the power supply is putting out enough juice.
Sell me your stuff.. please see what i'm looking to buy
