Laptop connecting to Creative live external

Hey people

I recently got a Creative Live 24bit external soundcard. I have no idea which should i connect to my laptop and my HU. I am driving a Acura TSX
I got this installed in my car SNHOND3
Also, my laptop only has a headphone jack for audio output.

How should i connect 3 components together? thanks!

The external card should connect to your laptop via USB. The audio output from the card then would connect to the AUX input of the head unit

sorry...1 more Q, for the audio output from the card, should i connect from the place say front speaker or spdif out to my HU?

front speaker.
SPDIF is optical.

front speaker to>the aux in. Make sure that cable runs away from any power wires etc. how are you planning on wiring your extigy(im guessing) up? I had alot of problems with mine at first, but then got them figured
