    Trouble fitting ide adapter to slimline drive

    Ive recently bought a HP slimline dvd drive and the ide adapter came this morning, i went to fit it but the adapter that plugs into the slimline drive is half the size it needs to be ??!! has anyone else had this problem or have i bought the wrong slimline drive? thanks.
