Thread: Laptop Battery/Charger for CarPC

I suspect this has been discussed before, but I could'nt find anything.

I'm currently using a laptop as my CarPC, however I'm in the process of building the "real" thing.
However I do like the laptop's ability to remain on for reasonably periods without the risk of draining the car battery.

So.. Has anyone tried to use a laptop battery and the laptop charging circuits to provide power to a CarPC?
Would it provide enough power? (yeah I know it depends on CPU etc)
Any pic's/diagrams?
