Oh, BTW I emailed a bunch of email addresses on their website to follow this thread, so if you want this, post a reply!
Has anyone seen this before?

This is the company that provides the wireless traffic reports for the Clarion Joyride. The cool thing is the CUE wireless thingy for the Joyride is actually USB.
I called them a few months ago to see if they had a product for a PC that could receive their weather and traffic feeds and they didn't (even though they showed it running on a laptop on their site).
If enough people would be interested in this they might make it. $60/yr for wireless traffic and weather that could be plugged into our CarPC's. Very sweet.![]()

I would definitely be interested in this device for my carPC - especially here in Traffic-ridden Atlanta.

It sounds as if the product allready exists, it simply needs an application to run on the pc.
Im sure there are enough people here with enough tallent to write something
Three of us in the Atlanta area. Do you guys know if there are a lot more from Atlanta on here? We should have a get together or something to compare systems.
Maybe this could be integrated into CobraIII or CobraIV? Charles?

From their webpage:
information can be received on a wide variety of devices ranging from
the Microsoft® Auto PC platform to Windows CE® handheld devices, laptops, pagers, and navigation systems.![]()
It even directly mentions laptops, are you sure you didn't just talk to someone who was new or something that really didn't know? Either way, it looks like mentioned above that someone could program for it.

I just hung up from talking to someone over there. I talked to Frank, he is one of the contacts on the site that I emailed earlier today. He said if there was enough interest they would do it. He also said the laptop was for development only. I emailed him this url and told him to look at it and if he sees enough demand to post a message to us.
$60/yr is chump change for something this cool.
If you want call and tell this guy that you saw the PDF file and this thread and want it.
