    Audio problem

Not sure if this is the right section but...

I was using a sound card for my computer that I no longer want to use. I want to go with the origional factory settings.

When I uninstalled the soundcard my origional soudn wasn't working. I tried to reinstall the driver, and when it does, it starts working, goes to install SoundMAX and then says "Cannot find driver, reboot and try again."

I searched a bit and microsoft said to install windows SP2, I did that, and the same problem happens. Got any ideas?

    Boot into safe mode.
Remove all drivers for all audio hardware.

Reboot and install the drivers for the sound card you want to use.

You never stated what the "factory settings" are. Is that a different sound card? onboard audio?
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

I just wnated to use whatever the origional sound was on the computer. I don't know a whole lot about it. Whatever came with the computer, haha, the green hole that you put the speaker plug into? lol.

I'll give it a try though
