    SB Audigy 2 NX problems...

I have been having a problem for a little while with my SB Audigy 2 NX...I havent had audio on my car PC for a couple weeks now...I have just been pushing it to the side but now I wanna fix it!. When I connect the audigy to NX to my carPC it DOES NOT power on! I was kinda tempermental but now it will not turn on at all....But when I went to test to see if it would go on inside the house it went on! I checked the plug on the audigy coming from the carPC and it has 5V! I dont know what the problem could be!

Amps dont autoturn on just because a signal is applied, it needs to be turned on via the Remote turn on terminal. Unless power is applied to that terminal you wont get anything. You'll have to find a wire that powers on when the car is turned on (12volt cigg outlets, lights, anything) and run it to the amp.

if your talking about the carpc itself then I dont know. Prob the same issue.

Can you test it at home? If it still doesn't work, then something is blown.

OK so i just tested the voltage on the 5v rail of my carPC PSU....Its only 4.99V. I went inside to test the SC and the voltage is reading 5.12V SO Clearly the voltage is just a tad too low to power the SB NX...How can i boost the voltage

^ Sorry! I missed that sentence.

4.99V is fine because the margin is < 1%, but that's before you really load it down. Do you have any other USB devices? Test on different USB port? Plug the Audigy back in to see what the voltage drop is. If the voltage dips too low for too long, then you might have a 5V regulation problem (too much inrush current due to the Audigy being plugged in).
