    new ecu, no fire? help

I have a 2002 honda civic that quit on me. Mech said I needed a new comp. for $1000. Can't afford that. Bought one on line for $300. Installed it, no fire at plugs. Any advice?

It is most likely the PGM-FI main relay. It is located behind the glove box. It has (I think) 6 wires. The relay itself is 2 colored on its body. It is a very common failure on these cars.

I can post better info after I get on Mitchell. let me know if you need more info.

The relay is about $20-30 at your honda dealer. I do not buy many aftermarket electrical parts so I do not know if they are available at your local parts house.

The only other common failure is the coil itself. If you PM me I can walk you through the diagnosis of the no start. It is pretty easy and you will need a test light only.

    Yeah....
It's a price to pay for popularity.

Mp3car pops up in google searches for mp3 players, car stereo, amplifiers, and just about anything related to vehicle electronics.
Technically, this was a question about a car computer: The engine management system....
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?
