Arrg! Problems with my new mp3 car setup...
Hi all, I'm new to the forum and unfortunatly need some advise. I've got my mp3 computer completly setup and mounted in the (very small) front trunk of my car. I have yet to mount my LCD screen and IrMan in the dash, so I have just been pluging them in as I need them for tweaking etc, until all is setup. Well I had everything setup perfectly and had already show off for my roomates when I tried to show my girlfriend later in the day and nothing happend. So later that night I pluged in a moniter to see what was happening. I booted my computer up and by the time the moniter turned on it was at a screen saying something to the affect of "Windows needs more ram to run, please reboot." So I reboot and watch this time, in my boot up sequence it is only reading 4096KB of ram? *scratches head*
So I moved the 32MB PC100 SDRAM DIMM from slot 0 to slot 1 and rebooted, same result. So I went to my "old computer stuff junkyard" and grabed another 32MB SDRAM DIMM and tried it in both slots with the same results. So I sunk down and tried using 4 16MB EDO ram chips.. Still only 4096KB found :( I've tried looking around the bios but nothing really sticks out as something that will fix this. Can anyone help? I'm really stuck on this one... I've already got my custome case all made and mounted so I dont really want to go back to square one with a new motherboard, especially since this board worked fine before. Just as a side note, the graphics card I'm running has 4meg of video ram on it, could it be reading this? Please respond or email me if you have any ideas. Thanks.
Info about the system:
ASUS TX97-E mobo Rev. 1.12
32MB PC100 SDRAM
S3 video card with 4MB vram
