aopen i945gtt-vfa users: usb powered during standby?

hi all, i'm building v2 carputer with this mobo and am getting close to putting it in the car. testing right now with the standard power brick that came with it i see my 3g usb modem powered while in standby: is this true for others? i'm afraid that all of my usb devices will drain the battery if i can't alter this behavior.

    thoughts / experiences?

    TIA,
    Per

i suppose this is no different than on any other mobo and it brings me back about 3 years when i brought this up and it grew into the 'mother of usb power threads' as per someone else on here....so - - feel free to disregard ;-)

This post might help, so you can tell windows to shut off USB when in standby (not usually a default option under windows power management)

Not sure what power supply you are using but I have an Opus 150 and I took care of this by having the Opus engineers modify it for me so USB is not active and it works perfectly.
