    Thumbs down Recommend another seller?

I've attempted to purchase the Slimline CD to Desktop IDE Adapter from:
    http://www.baber.com/baber/products/...cd_adapter.htm

On two different occasions now, and they've managed to mess up the order both times. The first time they tell me that Fedex is claiming they left the item at my front door. I live in an apartment complex . . . is Fedex really that stupid?! The second time they never sent it at all, and now they are telling me it's going to be at least 2 weeks before they can finish a claim on the first order, and they can't send another item before that claim is processed. In other words, they suck. Does anyone know any other companies that sell this item? I've also tried:
    http://cableclub.com/view_product.asp?item_no=99663

And they are out of stock. Would take longer to get than waiting for the claim with Baber.com. I'm open to suggestion. Thanks.

    Jeffrey.

I'm in the same boat. I've ordered from both places and I'm waiting to see who will get here first. So far, there are no winners.

Them not sending out the product you paid for is BS. Waiting for the claim to finish will take some time. They are responible for the product until you get it in YOUR hands. Even if FedEx or UPS leaves the package at the door it is their problem, not yours. You should call your CC. They will make sure you get your order shipped promptly.

That sucks! I was just going to order from them and now I'm really concerned.

Wish there were more options to buy this item.

    Thanks for letting us know.

I got a slime line connector from here:
    http://www.phethean.com/

I had NO problems what so ever, I got one that connected a slime line laptop drive to a normal 44 pin laptop drive. They also make them to connect to a standard desktop ide too. Give them a call.

I know this may be considered off topic, but since the rant and raving of FedEx, I do recomment Priority Mail. I used to use UPS all the time, but just started Priority mail recently. Its cheaper and usually gets to its destination the same time, if not within 2 days(for cheaper)

    So just a recomendation...."GO POSTAL!!!"

Also, whats the price off the Plethian website on that cable? I noticed its a email for questions... going rat i've seen is 16 - 22.....Thanks guys...
