yeah, it's called a 5v relay... it can make contact & the contacts can flow the 12v no problem, I use this for usb triggering all the time

I have a Matrix Orbital VFD, which has 6 general purpose outputs, they are 5 volts, I wanted to use these 5v outputs to turn on other things in my car, such as my fog lights, or lights in my trunk, things like that.

Common relay are 12V, but you can also find 5V, 6V, and 24V relays as well. Hit up local electronic store or online like digikey, jamesco, mouser ... they have them.

the pac tr-7 is a lot more than just a relay... it's a very useful device for sure, & can do alot....
