    Power line ... cap ??? + carputer

    Ok,

    So I am about to install my carputer in a custom enclosure with a 400W amp. I have an 8 awg wire directly connected to the amp but would like to avoid running another one for the pc. I also have a 1 farad cap that I think needs to be installed since my tdi jetta requires alot of power.
    My question is just necessity and connectivity as far as how power is distributed. Should I wire the cap in first and then to a distribution block which then feeds the carputer / amps ? Should I run another wire from the battery to feed the two separately? I am also considering running another 300 W amp for all my door speakers. It's only a 2 channel amp but should be able to power all four door speakers ?

    can someone please give me some guidance on this since I will have to connect the 300 W + 400W amp + the carputer all on the one 8 awg wire. Im concerned it may not work well.

    my guidance would be to run a separate line for the PC

    8g wire wont fit well with the PSUs ive seen. 12g wire that fits a PC PSU wont fit well in the dist block you'd most likely use that your 8g fits into. if that's not an issue with your equip, then use a dist block.

    If it were me

    --->cap----------->amps
    Battery
    -------------------------->PC

    so the one line with a dist block that can reduce to 12g and still feed the 8g to the cap and amp would be fine then ?
