Thread: LCD cable using RJ-45 network cable?

    as you say cat5/6 ethernet cabe is the way to go in that case, as someone has already said in this post probably best to use screened cable and connect the screening at bouth ends to ground. this hsould be fairly easy to do and good luck with your install! will you be posting in in the project logs?

    Make sure you're careful with the shielded cable.. if its bent wrong/too hard/whatever, you could wind up damaging the wires.

    yes, plan to buy its case off ebay. not cheap 175+50. they told me will give me shielded rj45 so i save the trouble. will see how it work out.

    That looks great, how are the results when hooked up to a screen? where did you buy your case from?

    it worked o.k. for my liliput 7" touchscreen. i don't notice the difference when switch to a vga cable. here is the place

    P.S. the 5m rj45 is too long. i think i will cut it to fit my car.

    the rj45 connectors are marked #1,#2,#3 on board and on pcb go to pin insert flat rubber connector - with connectors to insert into the mobo. It require a power plug (from PSU) to power up the 12V out rail. two USB on the pcb (one is drop inside the case so a Bluetooth stick will insert and half way into the case leaving only the tail part outside the case). two USB goes to the head unit (i don't get it 4pin x 2=8) but it is true i plug into the onboard 2 USBs
