when I play videos i am getting 100% cpu usage. I am using fd show codecs. some files play smooth and some skip. Is my sp13000 not good enough or is it a software isue? most problem files are avi or divx

What operating system are you using? What program are you using to play your files? I would check to see if the via drivers for the video are installed and not the microsoft ones (assuming your running windows). Also you can try to see if another player works better than the one your using.

Ok i think this board just isn't powerful enough. Can anyone recommend a good board to upgrade to? Looking for something than can run 800x480, run RR flash skins with out delays and play movie files while running other apps such as gps RR etc. I also have 150w power supply.

hmm odd. I use an sp13000 and i have no issues with speed. im using combined community codec pack, road runner with simplistique skin.... runs about 40% cpu on average when using video functions.

That's true, i'm running a SP8000 which is the version down below yours. In Linux with mplayer I get around 30%-40%. I switched to Linux because I couldn't find anything that would play DVD's with any quality in Windows with my via M6000.

definately try other codecs, that should do the trick .
