    Post Motherboards

I know almost nothing about computer hardware. So, I was wondering if any of you can either give me a site with the information, or just tell me what I need to know when it comes to motherboards (i.e. what "features" are good).

    Thanks

Click here, type "motherboard", press enter. Read for many, many hours.

Perhaps you should check out some of the fine commerical portable mp3 players on the market... Like say the Rio or the new Nomad Jukebox! This might not be the hobby for you if you don't know anything about motherboards and computer hardware.

BTW, I bet a $100 bucks a nice man tells you 'you've got mail' on your computer? Right?

Yeah, you're tellin' me, Callahan. Just to let you all know, I did search for "motherboard" and got nothing of what I was looking for. Also, notice the word "almost" in front of nothing. I plan to build a computer for my car, and I plan to keep it that way. None of the "fine commerical portable mp3 players on the market" are good enough. And xa0s, you owe me $100.

These may help a bit with the hardware aspect.. they are guides on how to build a PC from the ground up by Dan of Dansdata.com.. he knows his stuff and they are pretty good...

The reason everyone jumped there is that the same questions are asked a LOT over and over and it seems to annoy some people.. Its great that you used the search feature.. its really useful.. Check out all the examples on mp3car.com.. you can use pretty much any motherboard that supports a powerful enough chip, its just your preference or what you have access to.

I recommend deciding if you want onboard video (composite, and or VGA) and or onboard sound.

    And take a look at
