Carputer now 3 months old and still fine :)

It's been 3 months now since I completed the mp3car.
Everything runs smoothly as I planned.

Next on my agenda:

1) Take out the RandMcNally USB GPS and get the serial version so I can run Co-Pilot 2002.

2) Buy a IRMan so I can further easily control Winamp, PowerDVD, and Volume.

I just have some questions about your LCD.
I just wanted to know the exact model number and if it came with the touch screen.
What bit color is it.
And are you happy with the display and how everything looks with it

It's the DennisK screen.

It's a Sharp screen which is 12 bit color. The DVD's and everything else look real good because the Digital View controller makes 12 bit look better than some other 12 bit controllers.

I am in the process of building my beast, I have everything except the lcd. I am so confussed !!!!! I think I have read to many threads......

My delema is that I don't know weather to get an in dash 5.6" or 7" or get the Dennisk vga kit. How is the brighness on your screen ? Some people say the quality and the brightness is a joke for the car, And some people like yourself seem to be really happy with the screen.

Any advice would be great.

It's not the brightest screen in direct sunlight but I can still read it fine. Also the location where I mounted it may be more optimal than those of other installs.

Overall I'm very happy with the screen.
