Only problem is that my red power wire cost me $60 and my blue ground wire cost me $20. I don't want to spend another $80 to run a duplicate set of wires on the outside of my car! And there is no way in hell I am pulling them back out of the firewall. It is japanese, hence only oompa-loompa sized spaces to work in.

Could be... Maybe I should get out without touching the car at all! But wouldn't this also be triggered if I touch the ground with my feet and the frame? Because I did that and music still plays. Only after I get up.
The air is dryer now since it is cold and almost no humidity at 8000ft up, and I do have cloth seats... Hmm. Any bright ideas on how to test for this? Perhaps run a ground wire from the mobo standoffs to the car ground, as well as maybe a tiny wire that drags along the ground?

Alright, update:
I put back in my itx board, and the problem has somewhat gone away. I haven't changed anything in the setup. When I get out of the car, now like 9 out of 10 times it is fine. The other 10% of the time, it will freeze, or actually give a blue screen of death. Because of the BSoD, I am now thinking maybe software. The problem I have with that conclusion is that how would physical movement or spacial relations, affect the software side of things unless it is the HD or RAM. The RAM would go along with my previous guess, that it was RAM mis-seating itself and freezing.
I am going!!!!
I do hate that it now takes longer to boot up and I have to fix the drivers now. XP, why do you haunt me so!!!![]()

I would seriously look into the power wires leading to the M2, and the M2.
perhaps there is some sort of inductive load that rears it's head after you pull the key out. Check to make sure that the M2 is not being grounded somewhere it shouldn't be. Is it set to shutdown or hibernate? With the BSOD, I would try switching to either shutdown or not the one you have set now, just to check if it works correctly. It very well might be SW related.

Is there a voltmeter or similar device that logs its readings? That way I could hook it up inline, and next time it happens, I can check exactly what was going on in comparison to "normal" times.
And It has happened with the key in car off, key in car on, key out car on (Remote start).
It now is unpredictable! I should have tested it when it was every time! But that's life I guess.![]()

I'm not sure if your car has one, but some have a pressure switch to see when someone is sitting in the seat. I think it's used for the seatbelt warning light.
