i have a via epia mii running windows xp w/ sp2 and an external 2.5" hard drive plugged into a powered usb hub. the drive is configured for quick removal. i boot off of an internal hdd. the external drive is media files only.
the drive works fine if i plug it in after the machine has booted. if it is plugged in while booting up windows does not detect the drive. if the drive is working and i hibernate, upon resume, the drive is missing and i start getting delayed write errors.
anyone else had this problem? fixes? things to try?
