    Double DIN empty box?

    Does anyone know where I might find a double DIN sized empty metal box? I basically want to build a drop in replacement for my radio, and was hoping to find a box the same size as my current radio. I looked on radioshack.com, but couldn't find one exactly the right size.

    Thanks,

    single din is 2x7in therefore double should be 4x7in

    for in->cm conversion 2.54*in=cm

    I think that DIN is 7"x2", so double DIN would be 7"x4", but I don't actually have my info at work. I will post again at home where my measurements are...

    Guys,
    Workmanship here in malaysia is cheap so i dont think it'll be expensive to get one fabricated in aluminium. I plan to have one for my VIA EPIA board too. I'll check out the pricing as soon as i can but i dont expect it to go more than USD 40. I'll also check if the shop has ready made cases that fits the double din.
