    Darn! I saw some website which sold cable and cable making supplies - They had twisted pair shielded ribbon cable! It would have been perfect for stretching out that IDE cable.

    i never believed them either, that is Y for my next box, i will build my very own cable out of cat-5 cable or something....still coding c4.

    Could you use this cable?

    You would have to crimp on a connector though. How hard is that to do for cable like this?

    They seem to be charging $2.44 a foot.
