    Post Ford F-150?

    I have a ford F-150 and I was just wondering if anyone has ever tried to put a screen and computer in their truck...I'm very dumb newbie so i don't know crapola yet..but this sounds bad ***...hoping my dad will help me out with the electronic part of it...but any examples of a layout on a ford f-150 would be helpful. thanks...oh its a 1998 XL...thanks for the replies.

    I have to agree with cenwesi. You can easily stick a screen any where (depending on the size) You just have to figure out what you want in your truck and see if it will work where you want it.

    congrates cenwesi for not going off on someone who sez they are a newbie. You can be pretty vicious sometimes hehe.

    I had an MP3 computer in my F150 for almost a year. I built it into a wood 8" sub box which fit behind the seat nicely. The hard drive was mounted inside the box vertically using small "L" brackets and rubber grommets for a small amount of shock protection. That computer was pretty basic, it only played mp3's, there was no screen and there was just an inverter for powering it. It did hold up fine like that though.

    I'm not saying thats the only way it can be done of course, but that setup worked out nicely for me.
