    What connector do I need to hook up a cig lighter jack to the power cable?

    If i bought this cigarette lighter jack http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...ID=6456&DID=7, what kind of connector do I need to hook up 12 guage power wire to it? Also, do I have to ground the jack?

    You can use quick connects to connect to those lines, or you can solder directly to them. 12 guage wire won't solder that easily tho. The ground is the outside of the jack.

    Both +12 and ground must be hooked up to the cig lighter.

    Although, If you require 12 guage cable, you might want a better connector than a cigarette lighter.
