Hey Guys,
I need to buy a 44 pin notebook IDE cable for my carputer. I would preferably like to purchase it in Canada somewhere because UPS just raped me again with a $40 brokerage fee on a Opus power supply.
5.5-6" would be perfect. Any ideas on where I can get one?
Thanks.

Does your carputer's motherboard accept 44pin laptop IDE? Or do you need to convert it to full IDE?

You need a small adapter which converts 44 pin IDE to normal IDE. See http://www.myelectronics.nl/ > "Kabels en converters" > "Converter for Notebook HD on IDE cable" or "Convertercable for Notebook HD on IDE bus, 30 cm"

he has not said if he needed an adapter. Right now he just needs a cable and from Canada.

Yeh, the motherboard only has a 44 pin laptop IDE connector and I am using a laptop drive, which is a perfect combination since the drive is powered right off the board. I yanked an IDE cable out of a Compaq laptop, but the cable exited the wrong way out of the connector, so I had a slight clearance issue.
Yep, I need one too... but in Australia!
Bump for a good place to get one of these cables?
