Since all my USB devices are within reach of my CarPC (5M USB Spec). Would running a PCI USB 2.0 card be just as good as a powered hub?
The PCI cards is powered also right? Or can the power from the bus not be as a great as a Powered Hub?
Some guidance would be great. Trying to avoid USB headaches.

But for your needs, a PCI version should work. Just make sure to glue it down or something so the contacts don't loosen or grind off.

When you say glue it? You mean glue the PCI card in the slot? What kind of glue can you use for this? I have a PCB i need to glue to the chassis as well but not sure what to use.

Well hot glue works. Make sure you get the "high temperature" hot glue. It wont melt as easily when being baken in your car during hot summer days.
