i just got got an maudio revelution 5.1 card out from one of my older computers and was gonna use that for my soundcard for my carpc.

But im trying to find some info on it..before i do my first headunitless install.

Basically, i am trying to figure out if i will need one of those audiocontrol electronic crossover things that people are using with weaker soundcard outputs (primarily onboard sound)

From my research (looking at the online manual ) it says the output is 6db. which by my math turns out to be just around 4V output ,i might be wrong, but i just did that 10^(6db/10) formula i learned in my communications class last semster to convert DB's to Voltages.

First of all, is that the right way to do it, can someone verify that plz. (it seems kind of high to me)

Second of all, is that 4V high enough to avoid using one of those electronic crossovers, since most HU's these days all have atleast 4V Pre-Outs.
