    Screen Saver Shutdown

I saw once a screen saver gag that shut your computer down whenever the screensaver was invoked. I think this actually may have a use. If i forget to turn off my computer and the screensaver comes on (say after 15 minutes of inactivity) I can have the computer shut down. Im gonna look for the program. Couldn't this save my car battery?

as you approach 15 minutes you'd just have to shake the mouse. 15 minutes was just a number i pulled from my ***... Say 30 minutes. Just give the computer some sort of input and it wont shut down.

having to shake the mouse every 15 minutes is just a distraction.. and you will find it annoying very quickly especially on a road trip.

And disabling the screen saver or shutdown option when you are on a longer trip is just as annoying.. and you will most likely forget to do so anyway

IF ur system is any good at all you have some way to input into the computer easily. Raise the volume by one notch and lower it back down. Fast forward a song adn then rewind to play the song you skipped. Its really not that difficult to "shake the mouse" or do anything to reset the 15 minute timer.
