Here's what i got......
I have recently finished installing an mp3player (Creative Nomad JukeBox) and speakers (Bose cubes from an Acoustimass system, series II) on my new motorcycle (1999 Honda CBR 600 F4) being powered by a Jensen 88W amp. I know jensen is not the best pick, but it had the best fit to be placed under the seat.
now here's my situation....everything works fine and dandy with the bike off, and while moving. The problem begins when I'm at a red light. The sound quality diminishes and sounds slightly distorted. i'm pretty sure that it has to do with a lack of power when i'm standing, because if i pull the throttle a little and increase the revs slightly, it sounds fine again. My question is, what can i do to help this. I know the easy answer would be a better alternator or battery if it were a car, but i don't know if I'll be able to find a higher output generator for a motorcycle, and I already know that Optima does not make yellow tops (their high output battery) for motorcycles. My other option was a capacitor but the 1/2 a 1 farad ones that I've seen are huge and size is a definite issue and i'm not even sure if this would help. If it would, what size cap would i need? Or are their any other options any of you can think of? I would appreciate any help or suggestions.
I'll get pics up of it soon.
Thanks in Advance
