made for the omnibook which uses 12v 5a output also!! im thinking this will work, how can it not? only prob would be maybe the plug doesnt fit but all you have to do is cut tip off the ac-dc one and change it on the car adapter.

I have an application guide that came with my universal laptop supply that says omnibook takes 12v 3.65a, are you sure this one puts out 5a?

I found an ac/dc on ebay, just to prove it does output 12v 5a.
See attached photo.
anyone find a cheaper car adapter yet? i would get it but for $60 i think i would rather just get a atx dc-dc one
That doesn't really prove anything since the output can be higher than required. If the specs are for 3.65a then having the extra 1.35a is just a little extra.Originally posted by mp3truckstereo

You can be a little above spec for this sorta thing.
