the onboard sound is **** on mobo's. So you'll nedd a nex soundcard. Other the that, seems like you're set.
M1atx: Case/cpu1.5/hard drive80gb/ ram512/power supply/onboardsound, Ebay: $420
touch screen, liliput, mp3car store: $250
Gps, Microsoft Streets and Trips 2007 with GPS Locator, amazon: 130
Bluetooth dongle, for bluetooth: 30
Road Runner software: freeware..I'll donate if I like it.
External DVD: around 50 bucks?
That comes out to around $880
This setup should get me Music playability, dvd playability, and Navigation.
I thought a carputer would cost me mucho buckos, but this is actually really very reasonable..
BTW, I have a Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.2 in my current audio setup(hence the need for the bluetooth dongle), so I'm hoping that the internal soundcard will give me decent clean signal and the 3sixty will take care of the rest. I'm hoping this will save me money on a sound card..
What else am I missing, any suggestions?

Operateing system?
Depending where you are putting your computer you may need some VGA extentions/usb.
thanks.. I did a search on nex soundcards and could not find info on it.. unless "nex" was a typo?
I'm planning on running xp, and I'm assuming the touchscreen will have a driver that enables touch control, correct? I probably will need a long vga cable for the monitor, I think I have one laying around though.

oh okay.. I'll look into an external one.. the costs are starting to bump up.
VGA, USB and keyboard extensions, maybe a USB hub somewhere... I'll recommend CableWholesale or whatever that site is from Pricewatch. Cheap but their min. order is $10. Also, I haven't tried MS S&T, but I'm pretty happy with Delorme Street Atlas 2007, $100 w/ receiver. Compare them. Be warned both of these GPS recievers have issues resuming after hibernation.
How about a mini Keyboard that fits in the glove compartment? eBay, about $35
Elantra GT 1.2GHz Duron, RoadRunner & LSX Void 3.2. Status: Stable...
I have been reading a lot on sound cards, cause i want to make my system carPC only, and i havent found good reason of witch one is better, could give me some light on this point.
And mention some of the good USB cards, i found the SB LIVE, and some others, but more info is always good.
Thanks.
If you consider the SB live a good card, you could go with pretty much any card..... They really suck! There's so many cards out there. It's really something you should look into for yourself, depending on your demands.
