    founda am/fm/tv tuner/amp!

If you've been looking for a way to get rid of your head unit and still be able to listen to the radio this may be the solution.. not only that but you get tv too! It has a remote and a/v ins and outs $299 shipped.

I found this am/fm/tv tuner/amp while I was looking for a different item. I may get this instead though

Sounds like it's pricey because of the built in amps.
I already have high end amps, and don't need any more.

If anyone see's the identical thing without the amps, let us know!

    Thanks...

Er, isnt that basically the same as a head unit but without any front panel controls? I can understand people getting rid of their head unit to control radio through the comp, but not getting rid of the head unit for a seperate box!

It's a good if you want to use a motorized LCD in your DIN.

I only have 1 1/2 DIN in my Chrysler, otherwise I would concider keeping a head unit...

RE: "Why would you want this?"

Well if you don't have an amp.. and you don't have room to put a head unit in your dash and you still want to be able to listen to the radio (wow this is me!) then this is a solution

It's basically a headunit that is not in your dash I suppose.

OK, so how do you change the stations? Does it have some sort of PC interface?

If you followed the link you would notice it is controlled by remote.

Saw Video in, but not line in audio?

How would you get the DVD audio, or in our case PC Audio into the unit?

And you could probably control it via an IRa/IRman through onscreen buttons if the remote is Infra red.

But a tuner card and decent amp would probably work out a fair bit cheaper, and be higher quality.
