Let me know how you get on-I'd be curious to see if it was a random act of kindness on their part or if they're actually willing to do it!

    finally!!!!

it cuts a few mm off the left and right but when I run my front end, it's all good

O and by the way, I found the BIOS update on the website, because I have the SP-13000 and it said "16:9 support" under the updated bios file...

Anyone know if updating the bios on a m10000 will enable 800x480? I don't see any notes on the bios download or vga driver download that specifies that.

    Emo,

That BIOS for the SP-13000 has been out for a while now... Try using powerstrip to mess around with the timings of you monitor and you should be able to get rid of the two stripes you're missing. My monitor does the same but some tweaking solved that pronto!

Telos, as far as I remember, there is a BIOS floating around the forums here somewhere for the M10000. Hang on a sec, I'll have a look.

Yup, do a search for mk10 800x480 and you'll find loads of stuff. I'd read through all the posts to find it for you, but I'm way too tired!!!!! It's there somewhere though, I'm fairly sure...

yeah, I've seen that's been out a while now but I never got around updating my bios because of the many many mmmmanny HDD problems I've had w/ this setup so that was my bigger problem.

but thanks, because of your post at least I now have a updated bios!

I have a Jetway J7F2WE1G5D MB with the same video adapter as seen in post #12 above (VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP). Any idea if the BIOS update will work on the Jetway as well?

you gotta remember this is a BIOS update, meaning not only will it update the integrated video chip, but it (may or may not) update other stuff... so I wouldn't try it if I were you... I'd make sure it's fully compatible (I doubt it will be)

O and by the way, power strip fixed the missing portion of the screen and it looked like ***... the letters were almost unreadable so I went to Xenarc's website and in the FAQ they have these settings to put into Power Strip and it worked like magic... it's crystal clear 800x480.. i'm so happy!!!

    and if anybody wants them:

About 10 minutes after I posted my reply, I realized exactly what you said. There's an extremely slim chance of it working on a Jetway.
