Easiest way to get power to USB

    Hi,

I am wondering what the easiest way is to make a device that can tap the 12V in the car (already located a wire to the dash that operates only when the ignition is on) in order to provide power to a small usb gps receiver. The device has wall and car adapters that convert the power to 1.0A/5v already and provide a usb out. The other end of the cord is the smaller type USB. I do not mind sacrificing the cord, but am wondering if there are prebuilt applications for this at ratshack or other outlets?

usb gps<->mini-usb<->cord<->regular usb<->car or wall adapter.

    Thanks
