Unfortunately, I purchased a DSSC from Chris at Dashwerks on 30 Jan 2007. Nothing has arrived to date and after numerous emails (a phone call would be international calling and quite expensive) it appears he has taken my money and run. There has been no refund after he stated there would be, and no item has been shipped. The only explaination I was offered was an email consisting of a near identical excuse about parts on backorder (Buyer beware -Dashwerks, Inc) offered to another member on this board and in another post, nearly verbatum actually.

I do not recommend anyone else deal with this company or individual.

    To the moderators:
This is not meant to be a violation of forum rules, merely an attempt to save anyone else from this strife. After a search, it appears this is becoming a common theme with this individual and others should be advised.

    To Chris at Dashwerks:
If you read this and finally refund my money (paypal will be contacting you soon anyways), I will delete this post. If paypal refunds my money and not you, this post will remain as it is.

I am sorry it has come to this but you brought us here by your actions.

I can't say about now, but I got my DSSC a couple years ago. Took a little longer than I had hoped, but I did at least get a reply to my email at the time where he said they were waiting for parts. I did eventually get it though.

that does really blow. I hope he replies with his side of the story. If it is as you describe it sounds like pretty crapy cust. service and I'm sure he'll be losing some sales because of this thread.

    Unbelieveable.
I finally get a response from Chris bergeron:

"The best course of action for you to take at this point would be
to file for a refund with Paypal. Unfortunately, our company is going through restructuring/financial problems right now."

It seems as if they were not having these troubles when he took my order after several emails discussing the product and then taking my money!
I guess I am going to be a small part of the solution to their financial problems. To the tune of 70 bucks.

It seems he intends to neither refund my money or send the item.

He also kept me hanging with enough email contact (parts on backorder, Refund is coming, etc) to ensure we were over the 45 days paypal offers for the complaint filing process! This is what you get from taking his word at face value.

Stay away from this individual people!

    FRAUD! CHARLETON! THIEF!

Well, I finally got a response from Chris after threatening a BBB complaint.

I told him that if he wasn't going to return my payment to at least send the item. He checked his "stock" and found one somehow. Apparently, it materialized out of somewhere as it wasn't available these last two months for some strange reason.

He says he'll ship it today or tomorrow and send me a tracking number.

    I remain skeptical.......

So, I may have a (hopefully new and not used) DSSC for sale soon as I plan to go DSATX..........

hmmm, went to check out this DSSC, and see if it was still selling:
    From PP:
"This recipient is currently unable to receive money".
    AtmosUSA.biz, E-Cig Mods
    "A great smoking alternative"

According to chris B (as he told me) PP has frozen the funds in his account.

    Wonder what that's all about?

Perhaps I'm not the only one?

    Well,

I finally got chris to do something. I got to a point where I threatened a BBB complaint and he mailed out a dssc. The UPS tracking number shows it as in transit. At least I'll get something for my money and hassle.
He had one last kick at the cat though. He shipped it by UPS standard when I told him we would not be doing business if he shipped that way.
    Why?
UPS standard charges you almost 33% fees for brokerage on top of customs and duties! SOB!
Now, lets see if I get a working item or a piece of used crap.

I recommend anyone considering dealing with Dashwerks or Mr Chris Bergeron seriously look for another option!

    Cheers

    BJ
