Mp3car.com is THE premier "in car" computing site.
I do agree that the MP3car name doesn't really cover all the bases.
However, I can't see how the name can be changed without considerable loss of recognition. Also see the above comments about links, etc.
The current name also speaks to it's history, showing it's been around since the hobbies inception. Kind of gives it a credability that other sites lack. It gives the name weight and respectability.
Besides, everything else sounds kind of gimmic-y and "flash in the pan-ish".
IE: carpc.com, ICE.com, Mobilecomputingsolutions. com, etc.
I say stay with the uniquely identifiable name of Mp3car.com
If you're worried about google, just add some tag lines. Or add a line like "Mp3car.com, the world's priemier automotive computing and entertainment resource" to the site's title line.
Wouldn't be exagerating, that's for sure!
Hey, can I get the 500 bucks for saying change it to "mp3car.com"!?!![]()
I'd settle for a DSATX or "dumb" 220w dc-dc power supply if you only want to give partial credit!
Cheers

Maybe you can change the name of the store, but keep the forum the same.
Also maybe have the new store name, and a new forum name but also leave the current forum name in place and then gradually move the new nam to more prominence and eventuall take over full time.
I suggest a simple one carcomputer.com or carpc.com...something in this direction
Ok, forget it its both taken. I don't see why you would like to change the name. It is not relevant what the name is. It's the folks and the chat that matters here. And i also agree with all of you that said it is to late for the name change.
You need another poll option - "No! I don't love the current MP3Car name, but I think it's a bad decision to change it regardless."
Although the name may be a bit dated, it does have a presence and history that make it worth keeping.
"It's a blessing . . . and a curse."
System always under construction
Brand recognition goes along ways, and Ive seen a lot of people on other boards point to here. The name is goofy, but its known... just leave it.
