    Jetway, M2-ATX Wiring Question!!

    Hey guys,

this is my first time assembling a CarPC and I am kind of confused on how to connect my M2-ATX to my jetway motherboard. I've read both manuals and i'm left with one question. The pin on the M2-ATX which connects "To motherboard ON/OFF switch". where on the motherboard does it go?

i looked around and it looked like people were connecting it to USB ON/OFF jumper switch on the motherboard. So i did the same and i went to test my setup in the car. Connected the Positive wire and the ACC wire to the battery's positive and the negative to the battery's negative. A green light came on the mother board but the system did not turn on (even after 5 seconds, M2-ATX is on jumber B).

Do any of you know what i am doing wrong?

Check in the manual. There should be a cluster of headers for the power LED, tyhe power switch, reset button and HDD LED (and possibly others). You need to connect to the power button headers.

I can't be certain, but I'm willing to bet that leaving the manual in the box is probably a part of your problem, at the very least.

And nobody can tell you exactly where those headers are on your botherboard, since you didn't tell us what model motherboard you have... Details like that are very helpful in answerintg questions like this.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?

Thanks dude. I did read the manuals before i started to put everything together. i just didn't understand the connection from M2-ATX ON/OFF trigger to the motherboards PWR LED. i totally hooked it up to the wrong spot lol.

My motherboard is the Jetway CN700 and you can find the manual here:
